Before you start creating a new session, make sure that you've created all Teams you want to involve in your PI Planning Session. To prepare a PI Planning only takes 5 - 10 minutes. After identifying the PI Planning dates, the iteration cadence, and the PI cadence the organizer opens the browser and goes to setup.piplanning.io. (We recommend to use Chrome for these actions)

You can create a new session without ALM Sync

or select your ALM tool to get a step by step guide how to create a PI Planning Session which will be synchronized with your ALM-Tool.
